Attention all 90’s babies! I’m going back in time to the year 2004 when I was six years old and The Incredibles just hit theaters. This movie was my favorite superhero movie at the time. I wanted to be just like Violet, getting to turn invisible was the coolest super power to me.
I can honestly say this is one of the most exciting blog posts I’m getting to write. After 14 long years, Disney has announced that there will be a new movie in theaters June 15, 2018. The Incredibles 2 is happening people! This is my childhood dream come true.
Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day – to – day heroics of “normal” life . I t’s a tough transistion for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack – Jack ’s emerging super powers . When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot , th e family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again — w hich is easier said than done , even when they’re all Incredible .
Directed by Brad Bird (“I ron Giant,” “The Incredibles”) and produced by John Walker (“The Incredibles”) and Nicole Grindle (“Sanjay’s Super Team” short, “ Toy Story 3 ” assoc iate producer) , “Incredibles 2” busts into theaters on June 15, 2018.
