I am a HUGE Vampire Diaries fan. I love it because it is all about vampires. The Vampire Diaries is nothing like Twilight or any other vampire book I have read. It does have two really HOT male vampires though. Damon Salvatore  (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley). Stefan is in love with Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) which just so happens to be the doppelganger of Damon and Stefan’s vampire ex-girlfriend Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev). A doppelganger is the twin human of a vampire, not by blood but by appearance. Nina Dobrev plays both Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce. Damon is the bad boy brother that kills and feeds on humans and who is also in love with Elena. Stefan is the good boy brother that only feeds on animals and wants to be as human as possible.

One thing that is different about vampires in Vampire Diaries is that they can be burned by the sun. The Salvatore brothers have rings that were charmed by witches so they can walk in the sun with protection. They can also eat human food as long as they do feed on blood. Elena is human and is dating Stefan, her best friend Bonnie Bennett (Katerina Graham) is a witch, her other friend Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola) is a vampire turned by Katherine, and her birth mother who she hates is a vampire turned by Damon.

If you like vampires, action, drama and romance then I would recommend Vampire Diaries.

BUT WARNING IT IS ADDICTIVE!
