For our summer vacation we decided to load up the cars and take a 14 hour family trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We’ve taken countless trips to Tennessee but none has ever been as exciting as this trip. The moment we pulled up to the cabin in Gatlinburg, in the midst of unloading the cars, a baby bear comes walking up to the front door. We got to see a good amount of wildlife on our trip, and the scenery is to die for.
Family Trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee
Our third day on the trip we went through Cades Cove and got to see deer up. They were standing along one of the trails. It was amazing to be able to see them so close up. You could almost pet the deer, it was like they had no fear of us. Cades Cove is a great spot to take the family to drive through the mountains for the day and then have a picnic at the end. You get the chance to see wild life, and a great view if you go early in the morning.
Cades Cove is also a great place to take family photos, the mountains make for a beautiful backdrop.
