Speechless By: Hannah Harrington is a brilliantly written novel. When I first read what the book was about I was definitely imagining what ended up happening. The main character Chelsea has taken a vow of silence because she can never shut her mouth and it ended up hurting someone and getting other people in trouble. I give Chelsea a round of applause because I could never take a vow of silence EVER. I like this book because it shows you how bad high school can be but it also shows how strong a single person can be by not speaking when she is called names and humiliated more than one time.
I think my favorite character in the whole book is actually not Chelsea, yes she is the main one and all but, my favorite is Sam. He surprised me the most when Harrington brought him into the story. I’m not going to explain him any I will leave that up to you to read the book. Speechless has definitely touched me in ways that I was not expecting and that is why I think Harrington did such a great job coming up with a story like it. I can definitely say that I have never read a book like this ever.
Speechless is number 84 on my book list!
