For my senior prom hairstyle I knew roughly what I wanted from attending prom last lear and learning the do’s and don’ts. I wanted all of my hair up, but to the side so that you would be able to tell I had hair in pictures. I wanted some of it to be braided and I also wanted my shaved side to be out.
Lets just talk about makeup for a second. For someone like me who isn’t really that into makeup, getting it done gives you this warm feeling inside like you are a princesses. I don’t think I will ever get used to the feeling of fake lashes. That was one of the weirdest experiences I’ve had so far in my 18 years of life.
I did things a little different for my prom when it comes to the shoes. Not only did I wear red converse with my dress but my date wore matching ones. When he first asked me to prom everyone thought I was joking about the Converse, up until the day of prom when we walked in with our red kicks. I added black ribbon laces to my shoes to dress mine up a little bit and give them more of a feminine touch.
Since red was our theme and my favorite flowers are roses, Ryan and I chose roses for his boutonnière and my corsage. I promise I only stabbed him twice with the needle.
There will always be that one silly photo or with us, about ten, but this one is one of my favorites.
Prom was a lot of fun! I loved getting dressed up like a princess to go to my very own ball with my very own prince.
