Chocolate Frog from Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Project We

28 Mar

This past week’s Project We theme was food, sorry this post is a day late.

Universal Studios, They Call Me T, Wizarding World of Harry Potter

During Spring Break I got to visit Universal Studios. There they have the new attraction “Wizarding World Of Harry Potter”. It was so cool because they had a replica of the joke shop and the candy store that you see in the movies. At the candy store I got a chocolate frog that Harry gets on the train in the first movie. It was really good and so sweet that I shared it with my brother and sister. The box of the frog looked exactly like the one in the movie just a little bigger.

Sky Ranch Junior Cadet Corps Leadership Camp

08 Mar

On Thursday morning at 6:30AM I get on a bus to go to Leadership Camp with Junior Cadet Corps. It is going to be so much fun, but before we head off to camp we get to greet soldiers home from over seas. I have already done this once before with JCC and I love doing it. It is an honor to get to shake the soldiers hands and welcome them home, and to see the looks on some of the faces of their family when they see someone they know, it is so sweet.

When we are done welcoming them home at the airport then we get to go to LEADERSHIP CAMP! OMG it’s going to be such a great experience. Leadership camp is at Sky Ranch in Texas. I have never been there before but I have seen pictures and it looks exciting. One thing that I am not looking forward to when going is waking up every morning at 5:00AM and running for 3 miles. One thing that is going to be a lot of fun is paint-balling! I have never done that before and it is going to be a blast! We even get to team up against our JCC teachers, but of course they have better aim so we are probably going to lose. (LOL) Leadership Camp is 3 nights and 4 days, a mini-bootcamp. I can’t wait!  One step closer to the Marines…

This post is part of Project We and this week’s theme is kindness.  Greeting the soldiers at the airport is my random act of kindness this week.  Something I love to do.  What do you do for a random act of kindness?

Miranda Cosgrove Dancing Crazy Concert

04 Mar

This week’s Project We theme is music!

For a Christmas present I was given tickets to the Miranda Cosgrove concert.  The concert was held on February 19 and it was so cool. I took my cousin, Dee, with me and we had such a good time. The opening act was supposed to be Greyson Chance, but he ended up having another commitment that night that he could not cancel. So instead they had Shane Harper perform and it was awesome because he is from one of my favorite Disney shows, Good Luck Charlie. He is such a great singer and musician. He played the guitar the whole time. At first we were bummed to not see Greyson Chance but we ended up being glad we saw Shane Harper. I’ve since downloaded some of his songs.

Our seats for the concert were really close to the stage. To be Miranda Cosgrove’s first tour it was really good. She opened up with the theme song for iCarly and ended with her new song Dancing Crazy. She had dancers that she would dance with in some of the songs and they were great. Her outfits were amazing, I love her style. I think Miranda did an excellent job! She had dancers, a great band and cool effects. One of the best concerts that I have ever been to!

Green Tea Frappuccino

26 Feb

Green Tea Frappuccino is my favorite drink at Starbucks. It is sooo good. I usually get it with my mom when we go to Starbucks. I like it because it doesn’t have any coffee in it. It is good to get on a hot day because it is a cold drink. It is really the only green tea drink that I will drink though. I am just not a big fan of  green tea by itself. The drink is really sweet, creamy and addictive.  If you have never had one you are really missing out.

This week’s theme for Project We is green.

Sling Shot

20 Feb

Spring Break in 2010 I went to Tennessee, to visit my aunt who lives there. My cousin Dee went with me, my mom, my little brother and sister. On one of the days we went up into Pigeon Forge to look around and shop. Before we started to walk around my cousin had this bright idea that she wanted to ride what is called the sling shot. This thing goes 100 miles per hour and 110 feet up in the air…. Ummm yeah I thought she was crazy. I told her that there was no way that I was riding that thing, it looked like a death trap waiting to happen. I mean, I like the Titan at Six Flags and the Super Man roller-coaster and those two rides are pretty crazy but I was not about to ride this one.

Finally her and my mom convinced me to ride the human sling shot. So as I’m getting on I am practically crying I am so scared. I was like begging my mom to let me get off but she was like “Tapanga quit being a baby. We just payed for you to ride this and you are not getting off.” So we are finally all buckled in and the guy starts it up well the seat that we are sitting in kinda tilts back and I really start freaking out. The next thing I know is that I am being shot in the air and the seat is swinging front and back really fast and at the same time we are spinning upside down. At that time I think I was in shock, but in the end I ended up liking it and we even got T-shirts! :)

I shared this post as part of Project We since this week’s theme is red and the human sling shot was a red ride.  My mom wrote about her trip to London and playing in the red phone booth for her Project We post this week.

Project We – Blue

10 Feb

For Project We this week the subject is Blue. So I decided to use a picture of me entering a movie theater wearing a blue shirt in Port Angeles, Washington. The movie theater is where they filmed the scenes in New Moon! I got to go see Eclipse for the second time in that theater and it was so cool. I mean I got to actually touch the door where Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner touched it. (SO COOL)! The theater was really neat because it was not like any I have been in, in Texas at least. It was small and to get up to the theater you go up stairs. Although I had scene Eclipse before but it was an amazing experiences to see it in Port Angeles and in the very theater that they used to shoot scenes of  New Moon. This visit was part of my Twilight Saga tour trip to Forks, Washington for my 13th birthday.

Junior Cadet Corps – Marine Corps Ball {Yellow}

03 Feb

For this week’s Project We theme we are supposed to share a photo or write about something that goes along with the color yellow. So for this post I edited a picture using Picnik of one of my friends and me at the Marine Corps Ball.  I am in the JCC program at school which stands for Junior Cadet Corps.  Some of the Cadets got to go to the Marine Corps Ball last Friday in Dallas, Texas at W.T. White High School.  It was a lot of fun!  We ate dinner and danced.  Best part was we didn’t have to be in uniform.  I truly enjoy JCC.  We even got to see my teacher act goofy and dance, which you don’t see every day.

Sweet

25 Jan

Kylii, They Call Me T, cousins, babies, toddlers, kiss, sweet, love

For this week’s Project We the subject is “Sweet”.  This theme is a really easy one for me because my baby cousin stayed the night Monday night.  She is the cutest little thing in the world.  I love her to death.  When it was bed time for her I laid down by her and she gave me kisses.  I also tried to get her to say Panga but she did not have much interest in it.  She would rather try to get my gum as you can see in the short video below.  We had fun and I was able to get her to say my name just once, finally.

Winter

17 Jan

Well it didn’t snow this year but last year we got 12 inches of snow in winter around Christmas. That was a really fun time because we got to make snow angels a snowman and have snow ball fights.  That was the first time I got to make a snowman and the funny thing was, we used dog food for a mouth, eyes and nose.

Trees are starting to fall What the snow did to the tree in our back yard.

This weeks subject is “Smiles” for Project We. I had a lot of pictures to pick through but I think I picked just the right ones for this post. The focus of this post is my family.  I love them and have found a ton of great photos to share with you.
