I have officially taken pictures at my most difficult event yet. Taking pictures for the high school band’s annual Jazz Bash was a challenge. Unlike sporting events, the biggest problem was not having moving subjects causing photos to turn out blurry. The main issue was the lights were BLUE, almost black light blue.
I was constantly changing my shutter speed depending on the angle I was shooting at. Sometimes it had to be really high, other times it had to be really low. I had my ISO set to 1600. For my White Balance I went back and forth from “White Fluorescent” to “Shade”. Overall I took about 500 photos and ended up with around 60 good ones.

Are you a photographer? If so what is the most difficult event you have shot? If you are in the band, which instrument do you play?
