Band of the Month: Ghost Town!

01 Dec

Do you like dub, electronic, rock, or alternative music? No? Well you’re about to. Hailing from Hollywood, California, I give you Ghost Town, one of the most talented and diverse bands I have ever listened to! Not only is their music audibly appealing, but also visually! Their mix of creepy lyrics, alternative rock twists, and electronic beats create a genre I call, awesome. Visit Ghost Town’s official YouTube to take a listen at all of their music so far including their acoustic tracks (for all of you softies), and Imamachinist to watch all previous and future videos of Ghost Town Tuesday track releases featuring speed paintings themed around the song of that week. Thanks for reading this month’s edition of “Band of the Month” be sure to check out Ghost Town on FacebookTwitter, and PureVolume for free music .

Breaking Dawn Part 2 Soundtrack

04 Oct

They finally announced the songs for the Breaking Dawn Part 2 soundtrack! I have every Twilight Saga soundtrack thus far on my iPhone. I don’t know who picks the songs for the movie but they should get an award for it because they always pick some of the best music.

They also released the final poster for Breaking Dawn Part 2.

14. Plus Que Ma Prope Vie — Carter Burwel

I think that this is going to be the best album yet although I am sad that Paramore does not have a song in this one.  Christina Perry made a part two for her song, A Thousand Years. I think the song that I am looking forward to hearing the most is All I’ve Ever Needed by: Paul McDonald and Nikki Reed! I had no clue that Nikki Reed even sang so I am super excited to find out that she not only sings but has a song on this album.

Now all we have to do is wait until we can listen to the soundtrack on November 13, 2012!   :)

Music Playlist

26 Sep

I am always finding new music that I like and my favorite song probably changes every month. After I did my first playlist post I already had a ton more songs to write about. I found this new singer that is a lot different than the music that I usually listen to. Her name is Elizaveta and she sings “Opera Pop” I had never listened to that genre before now, but I am glad that I finally did. My favorite song of hers is “Dreamer“.  All the songs on this playlist are great songs to listen to when you are riding the bus to school or driving the car to work.

I am picking Dreamer and Jack And Jill videos to feature this week. I love the Dreamer music video probably because its my favorite song. I first heard the song Jack And Jill on an episode of Pretty Little Liars and immediately Shazamed it to find out what the song was called.

A Look into My Playlist

09 Sep

I listen to all kinds of music, not really having a specific style that I like best. I love listening to Pandora when I need new music to listen to. When I listen to Pandora I love to write down songs that I don’t currently have on my iPod in a notebook. All these songs are great for teens and adults. If you are looking for new stations to listen to on Pandora I recommended Train, He is We, Demi Lovato, and/or Today’s Adult Hits. If you are wanting some new songs to buy then I have some great suggestions.

Two songs that are my number one favorites are Calling All Angels and Ronan. Taylor Swift does not have a music video for the song yet so I picked a lyric video but Train does have a music video. I hope you like both of the songs.

We Are Young – Fun – Tuesday Tunes

22 May

We Are Young is a song that has been stuck in my head for the past couple of weeks now. I have listened to a few songs by the band Fun and liked them so I was excited when I found out that this song was theirs. I love this song because it is catchy and fun to sing along to. You can thank me in the comments for getting the song stuck in your head. LOL
