During the summer the family and I always like to take a road trip somewhere. Since there are so many of us I usually like to take my car so that we can fit all of the luggage and still be comfortable on our long trip. This year we went to the Grand Canyon for the first time – an 886 mile road trip.

I had never been to the Grand Canyon until this summer and I have to say that it’s one of the most beautiful sights that I have ever seen. Texas definitely has nothing like it.

Grand Canyon

Exploring the Grand Canyon was so much fun, we were able to sit on the edge of rocks and take pictures. Careful, if you are a mom it might give you a heart attack. Hahaha Let’s just say my mom was not all for seeing her kids hang their feet off of the edge of the Grand Canyon.

Getting my car ready for the road trip is the most important thing. You want to make sure that your mode of travel is safe and taken care of.

So when I started preparing for the road trip I made sure to check the tire pressure in all four of my tires. You want to make sure that none of them are low since the weather change and altitude rise will effect the pressure. Nothing is worse than getting a flat tire when you are miles away from the next gas station. Unfortunately, my car doesn’t come with a spare so I like to make sure that I double check them before any road trip.

Since this was a really long road trip I decided to pickup a car trashcan while I was waiting for my oil to be changed. You always accumulate more trash on a road trip and no one wants to stop every hour to clean it out. With the trashcan it prevented us from having a mess at our feet and it made it much easier to clean the car out every time we stopped for gas.

One other important thing that you want to have taken care of before you hit the road is an oil change. Get your oil changed at Walmart’s ACC, as it brings ease and convenience to any summer road trip. The professionals at Walmart’s ACC will change your oil while you get all of your other road trip shopping done.

Pennzoil® High Mileage Vehicle® motor oil helps clean out the sludge lesser oils leave behind, while helping to reduce leaks and oil consumption in worn or higher mileage engines. It’s a motor oil specifically designed vehicles with over 75,000 miles. My car is not quite at there with that many miles so I used thePennzoil Platinum®: Full Synthetic Motor Oil with PurePlus™ Technology. Getting your oil changed with Pennzoil at Walmart makes life so much easier. It’s affordable High mileage is on Rollback – $4 off (39.88 to 35.88) and you know that they are getting the job done right.

Wow, just the photos alone of sitting next to the Grand Canyon are enough to cause a heart attack! I’ve always wanted to visit the Grand Canyon as well, and it looks like you guys had a great trip. Thanks for all of the roadtrip tips and the rollback info on Pennzoil, too! #client
